This tin is in great condition considering it is over 100 years old. The colors are beautiful and bright. The paper labels on all sides are in very good condition, with some wear on the sides. The tin itself is clean with no dents.

It would make a beautiful addition to your kitchen, rustic Christmas display, or vintage advertising collection. It could be used for storage, if care is given to protect the paper labels.

Huntley & Palmer, founded in 1822, is one of Britain’s most famous biscuit companies.
This label features their famous Garter and Buckle design with rope and naval colors in 1851.

A trade card of 1878 proclaimed ‘seldom a ship sails from Britain that does not carry a Reading biscuit.’ In 1911 Scott took Huntley & Palmers biscuits on his Antarctic Expedition, and Stanley took them on his African expeditions. In 1947, the same company made a wedding cake for Queen Elisabeth II.
